Short press the power button to turn it on.
Long press (~2 seconds) to shut it down. It will auto-shut off after 180 seconds.
While the unit is on, short press the right button to project a crossed red laser line. Short press again to turn the laser off.
Use this to verify the ceiling is level (angle near 0°) and to transfer floor measurement marks to the ceiling for bracket placement.
Place the laser indicator on the ceiling surface in two perpendicular directions. The level angle reading must be near 0° in both directions before proceeding.
Measure the floor-to-ceiling height at your hitting location. Confirm it falls within 8'10" – 10'2" (2700–3100mm).

Find the center point of the hitting area (center of mat / tee zone). Mark this clearly on the floor.
Draw a line on the floor perpendicular to the screen, passing through the tee center mark.
From the tee center mark, measure the distance L toward the screen along your reference line. Use the table below or the Mounting Calculator to find L for your ceiling height:

Stand the laser indicator on your floor mark and aim it straight up. The laser projects a reference point directly above onto the ceiling — mark that ceiling spot. This is your bracket center.
Position the ceiling bracket over the ceiling mark. Drive a single center screw first to hold the bracket in place for alignment verification.
Confirm the bracket is parallel to the screen and the ceiling is level at the bracket location. When satisfied, drive all 7 screws to secure the bracket.
The launch monitor unit has a directional arrow. This must face toward the screen, not toward the golfer.
The unit ships with 4 Allen-head (hex) screws pre-inserted. Before hanging, half-loosen all 4 screws using the included L-wrenches. This is required to engage the bracket hooks properly.
Lift the unit and hook the rear edge onto the back lip of the ceiling bracket first, then rotate the front of the unit upward to engage all 4 hooks on the bracket.
Press the unit firmly upward until the bracket and sensor body are in full contact with no gap. The unit should sit flush against the ceiling bracket.
Using both included L-wrenches, tighten all 4 Allen screws firmly to lock the unit to the bracket. Do not overtighten.
Plug the Power Supply Adaptor cable into the Power Supply Adaptor port on the unit's end cap.
Run the CAT6 Ethernet cable from the unit directly to your PC's Ethernet port. This must be a direct connection — do not route through a router, switch, or hub.
Toggle the power switch to the ON position. Verify the indicator LEDs on the unit:

In the top navigation bar, click the Notice link.
In the Notice board, find the VTrackToolKit Official Release post and click on the newest release entry.
Click the attachment file (Release.zip) to download it to your PC.
Open File Explorer and navigate to your Downloads folder. Find the file named VTrackToolKit_[version].zip.
Click Extract all in the Compressed Folder Tools ribbon (or right-click → Extract All). Click Extract in the dialog that appears, then wait for the extraction to complete.
Navigate to the extracted folder (e.g., VTrackToolKit_2.1.5).
Double-click VTrackToolKit_[version].msix. The Windows App Installer will open showing the publisher as LaonPeople Inc.
In the installation dialog, click Install. Leave "Launch when ready" checked so the app opens automatically when installation is complete.
Click the Windows Start button. Under Recently added, find VTrackToolKit. Right-click it and select Pin to Start.
When you first launch VTrackToolKit, check the sensor icon in the top right. Click the gear icon (⚙️) to open Settings:
In VTrackToolKit, click the gear icon to open Settings. Click Device in the left sidebar, then select the Network tab.
Click Network List. The software will scan for available Ethernet adapters. Your VTrack unit should appear as a connected device (e.g., "Ethernet2 – Intel(R) Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter – 1 Gbps").
Select your Ethernet adapter in the list and click Connect. Wait for the automatic network configuration to complete.
When successful, your adapter will be labeled "(Current Connection)" and the status message will read "Successfully connected to the network."
- "No connected network / Please check the cable": Verify the CAT6 cable is firmly plugged in at both ends (unit and PC).
- "Failed to connect / select other network": A wrong adapter was selected (e.g., Hyper-V virtual adapter). Select a different physical Ethernet adapter from the list.
- Network setting still fails after correct adapter: Manual IP configuration may be required. Check IP Address, Jumbo Packet/Frame size, Receive Buffers, and Transmit Buffers. Refer to the "Network Setup Manual_VTrack DX10" for detailed steps.
- Antivirus interference: Disable any antivirus software temporarily and retry. Antivirus programs can block the VTrack's network communication.
Place the Calibration Board on the mat at the tee position so that the "SCREEN" arrow is facing toward the screen. Ensure the board is vertically aligned by eye (standing straight up, not tilted).
In VTrackToolKit Settings, click the Calibration tab. You will see a live camera view with a yellow dashed box.
Adjust the Calibration Board's position on the mat so that the black box on the board fits inside the yellow dashed box shown on the camera view. The board should be fully visible and centered in the frame.
Once the board is aligned, click the green Start button. Hold the board steady while calibration runs. The software will analyze the calibration pattern and calculate the sensor geometry.
In VTrackToolKit Settings, click the Ball Check tab. You will see a grid layout showing sections across the hitting area.
Using the included marked balls, place one ball in each section of the grid shown on screen. The left camera view confirms ball detection — green dots will appear for each ball the sensor detects.
Click the green Start button. The system will verify that the sensor can detect balls across all zones of the hitting area. All sections should show positive detection (green indicators).
In VTrackToolKit Settings, click the Area Setting tab. You will see two zones to configure: READY and TEE.
The READY zone defines where the system watches for a ball to be placed before a shot.
- FIXED: Set a specific desired area where the ball must be placed.
- NON-FIXED: The maximum area (indicated by the yellow dotted line) — any ball placement within the mat zone counts.
The TEE zone defines the driver tee area. On the left camera image, hold the left mouse button and drag to draw the green rectangle over the tee area.
- FIXED: Only balls placed within the green area are recognized as 'Ready' in driver shot mode.
- NON-FIXED: All balls within the ready area are recognized as 'Ready'.
Click the green Apply button to save your area settings and proceed to the next step. The status will update once applied successfully.
In VTrackToolKit, open Settings and click Game in the left sidebar.
Under Simulator, click the dropdown and select your installed simulator: VTrackRange, GSPro, E6 Connect, or other supported options.
Click the Reload icon next to Game Path to let VTrackToolKit auto-detect your simulator's executable. If it doesn't detect automatically, manually browse to the .exe file (e.g., C:\GSPro\VT\GSPLauncher.exe).
Click the Launch button to start your simulator from within VTrackToolKit. The simulator application will open.
Use the Putter Speed Factor slider in Game settings to calibrate putting speed to your mat. Adjust until putts feel realistic.
In your simulator's configuration screen (e.g., GSPro Configuration), set your preferred screen resolution and graphics quality, then click Play to start.
In Game settings, enable Overlay for simulator. Then click the icon next to Configure overlay area.
A blue box labeled "Shot Replay" will appear over your simulator screen. Drag it to your preferred location (e.g., a corner that doesn't obscure the course view). Click Apply to save.

Click the ⋮ three-dot menu in the bottom data bar to expand the full list of available shot metrics. You can view all ball and club data parameters.
Click the + button at the right end of the data bar to open the data selection panel. Enable Selection mode to choose which metrics appear in your bottom bar. Select or deselect tiles as desired.
You can drag any data tile in the bottom bar to a new position. Drop it where you want it to stay. Your layout is saved automatically.
Go to Advanced → Unit in Settings. Select the User-Defined column and choose your preferred unit for each measurement (MPH, m/s, or km/h) per data category.
When a new version is available, an update icon (circular arrows) appears near the top of the VTrackToolKit main screen.
Click the ⋮ three vertical dots in the top right corner of the VTrackToolKit window. Select Check Updates from the dropdown menu.
The Check Updates dialog shows your current version and the latest available version. Click Update to proceed.
The Windows App Installer will launch showing the new version details. Click Update in the installer dialog to apply the update. The application will restart automatically when complete.
