Do not: drop, disassemble, repair, or modify the unit. Do not use solvents to clean it. Do not hang heavy objects from the unit. Keep away from children without supervision. Stop use immediately if liquid enters the unit — do not touch with wet hands.

Power the Laser Indicator On/Off

Short press the power button to turn it on.

Long press (~2 seconds) to shut it down. It will auto-shut off after 180 seconds.

Project the Cross-Hair Laser

While the unit is on, short press the right button to project a crossed red laser line. Short press again to turn the laser off.

Use this to verify the ceiling is level (angle near 0°) and to transfer floor measurement marks to the ceiling for bracket placement.

Check ceiling level → Mount bracket → Hang launch monitor → Connect cables

Verify the ceiling is level

Place the laser indicator on the ceiling surface in two perpendicular directions. The level angle reading must be near in both directions before proceeding.

⚠️
Do not proceed if the ceiling is not level. An unlevel ceiling will cause the launch monitor to misread ball flight data. Contact your installer if leveling is required.

Measure your floor-to-ceiling height (H)

Measure the floor-to-ceiling height at your hitting location. Confirm it falls within 8'10" – 10'2" (2700–3100mm).

Mark the center of the hitting area

Find the center point of the hitting area (center of mat / tee zone). Mark this clearly on the floor.

Draw a reference line toward the screen

Draw a line on the floor perpendicular to the screen, passing through the tee center mark.

Measure offset distance L toward the screen

From the tee center mark, measure the distance L toward the screen along your reference line. Use the table below or the Mounting Calculator to find L for your ceiling height:

Mark this point (distance L from tee, toward the screen) on the floor. This is directly below where the bracket will be mounted.

Transfer floor mark to ceiling

Stand the laser indicator on your floor mark and aim it straight up. The laser projects a reference point directly above onto the ceiling — mark that ceiling spot. This is your bracket center.

Drive the center screw

Position the ceiling bracket over the ceiling mark. Drive a single center screw first to hold the bracket in place for alignment verification.

Verify alignment, then fix with all 7 screws

Confirm the bracket is parallel to the screen and the ceiling is level at the bracket location. When satisfied, drive all 7 screws to secure the bracket.

💡
Pro tip — Pre-tighten alignment check: Before fully tightening all 7 screws, temporarily mount the launch monitor, connect power and LAN, and run the calibration software to confirm the sensor alignment is correct. This saves you from remounting if an adjustment is needed.

Orient the unit — arrow faces the screen

The launch monitor unit has a directional arrow. This must face toward the screen, not toward the golfer.

Half-loosen the 4 Allen screws

The unit ships with 4 Allen-head (hex) screws pre-inserted. Before hanging, half-loosen all 4 screws using the included L-wrenches. This is required to engage the bracket hooks properly.

Hook the rear of the unit onto the bracket

Lift the unit and hook the rear edge onto the back lip of the ceiling bracket first, then rotate the front of the unit upward to engage all 4 hooks on the bracket.

Press unit firmly up and seat it fully

Press the unit firmly upward until the bracket and sensor body are in full contact with no gap. The unit should sit flush against the ceiling bracket.

Tighten all 4 Allen screws

Using both included L-wrenches, tighten all 4 Allen screws firmly to lock the unit to the bracket. Do not overtighten.

Connect the power cable

Plug the Power Supply Adaptor cable into the Power Supply Adaptor port on the unit's end cap.

Connect Ethernet — direct to PC only

Run the CAT6 Ethernet cable from the unit directly to your PC's Ethernet port. This must be a direct connection — do not route through a router, switch, or hub.

⚠️
Connecting through a router or network switch will prevent the VTrack from communicating with the PC. Always use a direct cable connection.

Flip the power switch on

Toggle the power switch to the ON position. Verify the indicator LEDs on the unit:

RED LED — Power is ON
GREEN LED blinking — Ethernet active

Check both indicator circles visible from below the unit to confirm both ends of the unit show active status.
Software Setup
Download → Extract → Install → Launch VTrackToolKit

Existing users / upgrading: If VTrackToolKit is already installed, uninstall it first. Go to Windows Settings → Apps → Apps & features, find VTrackToolKit in the list, and click Uninstall before proceeding with the new installation.

Click "Notice" in the navigation

In the top navigation bar, click the Notice link.

Open the newest VTrackToolKit release

In the Notice board, find the VTrackToolKit Official Release post and click on the newest release entry.

Download the Release.zip attachment

Click the attachment file (Release.zip) to download it to your PC.

Locate the downloaded .zip in your Downloads folder

Open File Explorer and navigate to your Downloads folder. Find the file named VTrackToolKit_[version].zip.

Extract All

Click Extract all in the Compressed Folder Tools ribbon (or right-click → Extract All). Click Extract in the dialog that appears, then wait for the extraction to complete.

Open the extracted folder

Navigate to the extracted folder (e.g., VTrackToolKit_2.1.5).

Double-click the .msix installer file

Double-click VTrackToolKit_[version].msix. The Windows App Installer will open showing the publisher as LaonPeople Inc.

Click Install

In the installation dialog, click Install. Leave "Launch when ready" checked so the app opens automatically when installation is complete.

Pin VTrackToolKit to the Start menu for easy access

Click the Windows Start button. Under Recently added, find VTrackToolKit. Right-click it and select Pin to Start.

The VTrackToolKit shortcut is not created on the Desktop automatically — you must pin it to Start manually using this step.
Initial Setup & Calibration
Network → Calibration → Ball Check → Area Setting

When you first launch VTrackToolKit, check the sensor icon in the top right. Click the gear icon (⚙️) to open Settings:

Open Settings → Device → Network

In VTrackToolKit, click the gear icon to open Settings. Click Device in the left sidebar, then select the Network tab.

Click Network List to scan

Click Network List. The software will scan for available Ethernet adapters. Your VTrack unit should appear as a connected device (e.g., "Ethernet2 – Intel(R) Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter – 1 Gbps").

Click Connect

Select your Ethernet adapter in the list and click Connect. Wait for the automatic network configuration to complete.

Confirm "Current Connection" is displayed

When successful, your adapter will be labeled "(Current Connection)" and the status message will read "Successfully connected to the network."

🚨
Network connection fails?
  • "No connected network / Please check the cable": Verify the CAT6 cable is firmly plugged in at both ends (unit and PC).
  • "Failed to connect / select other network": A wrong adapter was selected (e.g., Hyper-V virtual adapter). Select a different physical Ethernet adapter from the list.
  • Network setting still fails after correct adapter: Manual IP configuration may be required. Check IP Address, Jumbo Packet/Frame size, Receive Buffers, and Transmit Buffers. Refer to the "Network Setup Manual_VTrack DX10" for detailed steps.
  • Antivirus interference: Disable any antivirus software temporarily and retry. Antivirus programs can block the VTrack's network communication.

Place the Calibration Board at the tee position

Place the Calibration Board on the mat at the tee position so that the "SCREEN" arrow is facing toward the screen. Ensure the board is vertically aligned by eye (standing straight up, not tilted).

The Calibration Board has a Focus Chart on the left panel and a Calibration Chart on the right. Ensure the SCREEN direction is correct before starting.

Open Settings → Calibration tab

In VTrackToolKit Settings, click the Calibration tab. You will see a live camera view with a yellow dashed box.

Align the board inside the yellow box

Adjust the Calibration Board's position on the mat so that the black box on the board fits inside the yellow dashed box shown on the camera view. The board should be fully visible and centered in the frame.

Click Start

Once the board is aligned, click the green Start button. Hold the board steady while calibration runs. The software will analyze the calibration pattern and calculate the sensor geometry.

Open the Ball Check tab

In VTrackToolKit Settings, click the Ball Check tab. You will see a grid layout showing sections across the hitting area.

Place one marked ball in each grid section

Using the included marked balls, place one ball in each section of the grid shown on screen. The left camera view confirms ball detection — green dots will appear for each ball the sensor detects.

Click Start to run the check

Click the green Start button. The system will verify that the sensor can detect balls across all zones of the hitting area. All sections should show positive detection (green indicators).

Open the Area Setting tab

In VTrackToolKit Settings, click the Area Setting tab. You will see two zones to configure: READY and TEE.

Set the READY zone

The READY zone defines where the system watches for a ball to be placed before a shot.

  • FIXED: Set a specific desired area where the ball must be placed.
  • NON-FIXED: The maximum area (indicated by the yellow dotted line) — any ball placement within the mat zone counts.

Set the TEE zone

The TEE zone defines the driver tee area. On the left camera image, hold the left mouse button and drag to draw the green rectangle over the tee area.

  • FIXED: Only balls placed within the green area are recognized as 'Ready' in driver shot mode.
  • NON-FIXED: All balls within the ready area are recognized as 'Ready'.

Click Apply

Click the green Apply button to save your area settings and proceed to the next step. The status will update once applied successfully.

Setup complete! Your VTrack DX10 is now calibrated and ready to use. Proceed to simulator configuration.
Simulator & Daily Use
Connect your simulator software and start playing

Prerequisite: Your simulator software (e.g., GSPro, E6 Connect, VTrackRange) must already be purchased and installed on your PC before completing this section.

Open Settings → Game

In VTrackToolKit, open Settings and click Game in the left sidebar.

Select your simulator

Under Simulator, click the dropdown and select your installed simulator: VTrackRange, GSPro, E6 Connect, or other supported options.

Set the Game Path (if needed)

Click the Reload icon next to Game Path to let VTrackToolKit auto-detect your simulator's executable. If it doesn't detect automatically, manually browse to the .exe file (e.g., C:\GSPro\VT\GSPLauncher.exe).

Click Launch

Click the Launch button to start your simulator from within VTrackToolKit. The simulator application will open.

Adjust putting speed (optional)

Use the Putter Speed Factor slider in Game settings to calibrate putting speed to your mat. Adjust until putts feel realistic.

Click Play in the simulator

In your simulator's configuration screen (e.g., GSPro Configuration), set your preferred screen resolution and graphics quality, then click Play to start.

Enable shot replay overlay

In Game settings, enable Overlay for simulator. Then click the icon next to Configure overlay area.

Position the Shot Replay box

A blue box labeled "Shot Replay" will appear over your simulator screen. Drag it to your preferred location (e.g., a corner that doesn't obscure the course view). Click Apply to save.

View more data with the three-dot menu

Click the ⋮ three-dot menu in the bottom data bar to expand the full list of available shot metrics. You can view all ball and club data parameters.

Customize data tiles with the + menu

Click the + button at the right end of the data bar to open the data selection panel. Enable Selection mode to choose which metrics appear in your bottom bar. Select or deselect tiles as desired.

Drag and drop data tiles to reorder

You can drag any data tile in the bottom bar to a new position. Drop it where you want it to stay. Your layout is saved automatically.

Set custom speed units

Go to Advanced → Unit in Settings. Select the User-Defined column and choose your preferred unit for each measurement (MPH, m/s, or km/h) per data category.

Watch for the update notification icon

When a new version is available, an update icon (circular arrows) appears near the top of the VTrackToolKit main screen.

Open the three-dot menu and select Check Updates

Click the ⋮ three vertical dots in the top right corner of the VTrackToolKit window. Select Check Updates from the dropdown menu.

Click Update in the Check Updates dialog

The Check Updates dialog shows your current version and the latest available version. Click Update to proceed.

Confirm the update installer

The Windows App Installer will launch showing the new version details. Click Update in the installer dialog to apply the update. The application will restart automatically when complete.

Updates download directly from Laon Swingcraft's servers and require no manual download. Your calibration settings and preferences are preserved across updates.

Verify Your Network Card

USB-to-Ethernet adapters will not work. VTrack requires a dedicated PCIe NIC.

Recommended: Intel Pro/1000 class NIC (e.g. EXPI9301CT — single-channel Intel NIC)

Step 2
Connect VTrack Directly to Your PC

Skip any router, switch, or hub — plug the LAN cable directly from VTrack to your PC NIC.

Check the lights on your VTrack unit:
🔴 Red light = Power ON (expected)
🟢 Green light = Should be blinking — if solid or off, reseat the cable.
Step 3
Set a Static IP Address

Open Network Connections → right-click your Ethernet adapter → Properties → select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)Properties.

Enter these settings:
IP Address: 172.16.1.100 (right-handed) or 172.16.0.100 (left-handed)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Click OK, then Disable the adapter and Enable it again. Restart VTrack Toolkit.

Step 4
Adjust Network Card Advanced Settings

Open Device ManagerNetwork Adapters → right-click your NIC → PropertiesAdvanced tab.

Change these settings:
Jumbo Packet: 9014 Bytes
Receive Buffers: Maximum value
Transmit Buffers: Maximum value

Restart your PC after saving.

Configure Firewall

If a firewall is enabled, add an exception for LPGAgent on both Private and Public networks.

Camera Image Not Appearing

If the network is configured but no camera image appears:

  • Reconnect the LAN cable on both ends
  • Disable or uninstall antivirus software — AV programs frequently block the camera video stream even when LPGAgent is whitelisted
  • Restart VTrack and PC
Recommended: Fully uninstall antivirus. Most AV programs block video input from the camera.
Step 7
Power Cycle — The Hard Way

Green light is on but the PC still can't communicate? The unit's internal network interface may be hung.

  1. Power down both VTrack and PC
  2. Disconnect the network cable completely
  3. Wait at least 60 seconds
  4. Reconnect the network cable
  5. Power on VTrack, then PC
Why this works: The 60-second wait drains the capacitors and forces the network handshake to restart from scratch.
Step 8
Calibration Error Code 1001 — Final Check

Error 1001 is a network-layer calibration failure. If you've completed Steps 1–7 and the error persists:

Most common root cause: Incompatible network card — USB adapter or consumer NIC without Jumbo Packet support. Double-check Step 1 before submitting a support request.

Before installing, confirm the operating PC meets the specs below. The GPU, USB ports, and dual-display resolution have a direct impact on camera input quality and AI analysis performance.

Camera Setup Guide
Align the Front and Side cameras to the reference distance and height for accurate swing recognition

To recognize the swing accurately, install the Front and Side cameras at the reference distance and height. These are baseline values for EZ AI capture — you can adjust within the recommended range based on your installation environment.

Camera USB connection: The camera USB cables must be connected to the blue USB 3.0 ports. To secure enough bandwidth, connect the two cameras to USB ports that are spaced apart from each other — not to adjacent ports.

Front / Side order is critical: AI Pose Analysis strongly assumes the left view is Front and the right view is Side. If the two views are reversed, diagnosis scores, skeleton, and all visualizations can be inaccurate — check Switch Cameras in Camera Settings.
Installation & Updates
The SwingEZ Launcher is a separate app that installs and updates the main program, extra content, and AI components

Run the Launcher installer
The installer runs the Launcher setup file they received. If a Windows security prompt appears, verify the publisher and path, then continue.

Choose the install path
There is no default install location, so you must select where to install manually. Installing on the C: drive is recommended for stable operation.

Install components
Installation proceeds in order: SwingEZ, Extra Content, Add-on, then AI Components. Do not close the window partway through — wait for the completed state.

Launch SwingEZ
Once installation finishes, run SwingEZ from the Toolkit or Launcher. From then on, the main program opens after an update check.

If the Launcher shows an Update available status, press Update to apply the patch. Only changed files are downloaded, so it can finish faster than a full reinstall.

Launcher Settings shows the install path, cache, and maintenance tools. If there are no issues during operation, keeping the default values is recommended.

Creating an Account & Resetting Passwords
Sign-up starts on the SwingEZ login screen, but the actual entry happens in a web browser

How accounts work: The app handles login and game flow, while account management — sign-up, profile, and password — is done on the web. After finishing sign-up in the browser, return to SwingEZ and log in with the new account.

To move a license to another PC or stop using it on the current PC, deactivate the license. You can do this two ways: directly inside the SwingEZ program, or from the web. When you run Deactivate in the License tab, the server releases the current PC's license link and any in-progress Lobby session moves to the License screen. Lobby & Modes
The Lobby is the SwingEZ home screen — view available modes, personal stats, and leaderboards
Lobby Sections
  • Driving Range — Practice-range mode showing shot results, Replay, ShotData, and the MySwing list.
  • AI Pose Analysis — Posture-diagnosis mode that analyzes the swing in 8 stages and shows coaching and 3D/visualization materials.
  • Game Settings — Manage language, units, sound, camera, display, and license settings.
  • Leader Board — Weekly, Monthly, and Around the World tabs for period-based rankings. Data may appear slightly delayed depending on network status.
  • My Stats — Consecutive practice days, this week's shot count, and shot tendencies. Before enough data accumulates, it may show Not enough data.

Hit a shot and immediately review the result and Replay. Saving and list updates run in the background.

Prepare in Live state
Select a club and confirm the camera view is normal. ShotData values may be empty before the shot.

Swing detection & capture
When a swing is detected, before/after frames are pulled from the camera buffer and Replay preparation begins.

Replay playback
The swing video plays automatically. You can change playback speed or mark lines/shapes with the Drawing tools.

Automatic or manual return
If you don't interact, it returns to Live automatically. If you controlled playback, press GO LIVE to return manually.

Save & MySwing update
The shot you just hit may briefly show as a loading card in the MySwing list, and is replaced with the real item once saving finishes.

Swings captured by two cameras are split into 8 stages, with posture diagnosis and visualization for each stage.

The system finds the key posture stages from P1 Address through P8 Finish in the swing video.

Review Diagnosis
Check per-item scores, PASS/WARN, and coaching explanations.

Compare motion using Skeleton, Alignment, Swing Plane, Motion Analysis, and other visualizations.

Save to History
Analysis results and frames are saved and can be reopened from Swing History.

Improve AI accuracy with the right capture environment: sufficient lighting, clothing that contrasts with the background, and minimizing obstructions like hats, bags, or loose outerwear are important. Re-analyzing the same video after capture will not change capture quality — if a result looks wrong, fix the environment and capture a new swing.

Camera mapping is very important: if Front and Side are swapped, ShotData and Replay interpretation will be off. If the on-screen front/side differs from the actual installation, check Switch Cameras or reconnect the cameras.

If a camera disconnects: check the USB cable and power, then try Reconnect first. If it repeats, run Reconnect Cameras in the Camera tab of Settings, and also verify the camera is recognized correctly in Windows Device Manager.

Deactivate License behavior: running Deactivate in the License tab releases the current PC's license link on the server, and an in-progress Lobby session moves to the License screen. Only run this when you intend to use the same key on a new PC.
Troubleshooting
Common issues you'll hit during operation and what to check first
